Hello everyone as summer begins to fall hard here in the south I really just feel the need to purge! This blog sale will feature items that have been gently used, worn and in some cases just need a new home due to the fact of me showing them no love at all.

Welcome!

Hello everyone! I decided to start a blog to do some posting about natural hair as well as beauty and fashion. I just really enjoy everything that relates to being a girly girl..lol. My natural hair journey began on March 11, 2010 when I decided that would be my last relaxer! It was a decision that I had to first prepare my mind for and next figure out exactly where I was actually going with this journey. My decision became easier after being a broke continuing education student, my stylist resigning and also my hair becoming damaged. I wore a lot of half wigs during that time but failed to take care of my relaxed hair. I spoke with one of my good friends who has a beautiful head of natural hair and she told me that she hadnt found a good stylest after moving from one state to another and had just decided to go natural.

I figured this was the best move for me since I would be able to better take care of my hair. I grew my hair out for approximately 10 months. I big chopped on Jan 6, 2011. I am currently as of today 1 yr and 7 months natural and well on my way to my 2nd year. Hopefully I can inspire some of you to take the plunge and go on your own natural journey and feel confident with your decision. I am all about healthy hair whether chemically or nonchemically treated, but I am #teamnatural...lol. We all have to make the proper decisions for ourselves and do what makes us feel good and be happy. Hopefully you guys will enjoy some of my product reviews and tips and tricks along the way. I am in the process of reviewing a product as I write this but I also have to get another computer so that I can posts pics :-( (my old faithful died on me). Plus Size OOTN Keeping it simple with a touch of glam

One of my college friends recently celebrated her 30th bday and while we all dread the fact of getting older I must say that she looked fab! I was super excited that my best friend that now lives in Pittsburgh which is like 10 hrs away from me, was able to come down to spend some time and also accompany me to the party. We had a blast that night and while we did I must say my body took a least two days to recover lol. Nonetheless, I love a good party with even better company.

BH Cosmetics California Makeup Palette Collection Swatches

BH Cosmetics just recently launched some new eyeshadow palettes and I had to jump on it. These eyeshadow palettes consist of 16 shadows and 4 face products(2 blushes, highlighter and bronzer).

BH Hollywood Palette

The front of the palette is inspired by places in California. The packing is really cute with the pic of the Hollywood street name on the front

This is how the palette looks opened up there are 8 shadows on each side. 

Left

2 blushes, 1 highlighter, 1 bronzer

Thoughts: I was super excited about swatching this palette because it was the one with the brightest colors however most of the colors were not as vibrant. I would definitely recommend a primer and maybe a base when using these shadows as you can see that the shadows appear much more vibrant with a primer. IMO the pink side of the shadows swatched better than the other side.
