My Favorite Nude Lippies!

As fall is in the air, the nude lip is always one to fear. A nude lip is perfect to pair with dramatic eyes to allow the eyes to be the focus or to wear in a work setting where you may not want to put on a lot of heavy makeup and remain more true to your natural beauty. However you choose to rock it is totally up to your fashion preference and the nude lip is here to stay for a while. :-)


This blog is just showing off some of my FAV nude lips that I have bought and have currently been rocking, whenever I have that nude lip fever.


First up my fav so far and I have yet to find another that would top it:



Wet and Wild Megalast
Bare It All 902c

This is a semi matte creme type finish with long lasting power.  It can be a little drying at time so please make sure to exfoliate and moisturize your lips before applying! I think it is a good match esp for women of color (WOC) without looking too pale or chalky. If you do find that it is looking a little chalky or pale, trying dabbing it on the lips instead of swiping and also pair it with a dark brown lip liner of your choice. You can always add a gloss over the top to tone down as well. Overall this is my fav right now and I find myself reaching for this one more than the others that I own.   price ($1.99)

Revlon Lip Butter
Creme Brulee

Absolutely wonderful creamy and moisturizing lipstick! Especially for those with dry lips. The Revlon lip butter formula is wonderful to take care of the lack of moisture that the matte lipsticks possess. I am in love with this lipstick, it applys so smoothly and has a pretty good lasting power. You can pair with a lip liner if it appears to chalky or too light. Price $6-7


3rd Choice
Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick
613 Just Enough Buff

Definitely a creme finish, very moisturizing and goes on smooth on the lips. Looks great on several different skin tones and for those of you who have drier lips this would def be your go to choice. This lipstick does not appear to chalky to me and I love that it is so creamy. (target or walmart price 4.75 to 7.00) drugstores tend to run higher

4th choice
Milani
Barely There

This was my first nude lippie that I purchased and soon became my least fav of the ones that I currently own, which you can see are very few in number (lol). No doubt it is a very moisturizing lipstick and milani's formula for many of there lipsticks are very impressive for a drugstore brand. This lipstick however is very chalky and does need to be paired with a lip liner. IMO it does appear lighter than the other two that I have showed you here and can sometimes be hard to work with if you apply to much. [price $4.99 on the milani website]


Nude Lippie Wanted

I am dying to try Freshbrew by MAC I have heard so many reviews on how wonderful of a nude lippie it is. I have also seen many youtube vids proving that the color is fantasic for the perfect nude match which makes me crave having it in my posession even more. The only thing is I would have to chalk up between $15 so one day I will walk up to that counter and definitely add it to my collection, but that time is not now lol. I am fine with the 3 lippies mentioned here and I think they will last for a while.(target or walmart price 4.75 to 7.00) drugstores tend to run higher
